Worship in Motion!

I’ve missed you, Tumblr! I had to take a break in preparation for this dance worship night called Worship in Motion. It was awesome!!! Praise God! I might post videos on here if they find their way to YouTube. I had a mime solo and it wasn’t as terrifying as I thought it would be; mostly likely because it wasn’t about me! It was so good, y’all. We had lyrical dance, hip hop, step, and mime. It was the best one yet! Next year will be even better! I’ll be in the audience next year since I’m graduating. : / I can’t believe Worship in Motion is over. 

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday! Oh, I just remembered: pictures were taken so I’ll post those too!

I firmly believe that if Best Urban Contemporary Artist can be a new category with four nominees, then Christian Rap can have its own category. And Lecrae still would have won best album.

I’ll be looking for your book.

Today, I went with my awesome Gospel Choir, THE Elon University Gospel Choir, to my awesome friend’s church. I sang and read one of my poems. And after the church the church was kind enough to feed us. (Well, they had dinner for everyone, but still!) 

We mingled and met people, people thanked us for coming. It was nice.

But then, on the way out. A woman said, “I really enjoyed your poem. I’ll be looking for your book. What’s your name?”

Tears were in my eyes. The emotions. My ultimate dream job = be an author.

I used to be afraid to die

I used to be afraid to try

‘Cause I was too afraid of knowing what failing looked like

But the Son came to give me life

Now I feel like I can touch the sky.

My law class was like 10 minutes long

Which made me happy because I’ve realized that law is not the way to go for me and I’ve become not interested in that class.

And now, I should probably do homework, but I don’t feel like it. I was working on some stuff for Gospel Choir and now I’m not. I’m trying to get over this affliction, but it’s really annoying, sort of like doing school work and now I don’t want to do school work. Plus I keep thinking I wouldn’t have done homework now anyway but that’s beside the point.

Hopefully, I don’t bore you or drive you away with stories of my life. I hope they are relevant, entertaining and not whiny. (Although I can see how this can be whiny)

Really ready for my Gospel Choir’s concert tomorrow evening. My familia is coming out and I’m super stoked. I will probably feel more apt to do work following this major event.
